kept quiet, he agreed and thanked me. The man then asked my name, which I told him…my first name at least. Shiro and I wandered the ruins, however something bothered me. A part of me sensed their was more to this then a simple meteor and I could hear strange whispers from time to time, against my better judgment I decided to approach the tents set up around the meteor and find a safe path to get closer to the meteor, Shiro quickly asked what I was doing? He knew that if we were spotted past the tape we would likely be contained or shot and possibly court marshaled. I told him that he didn’t have to come with me if he didn’t want to but I was going to try and get closer. Shiro sighed and followed me anyway trusting I knew what I was doing but the truth is that I was as clueless as him…and the fear in his mind was quite strange as he imagined being in the middle of a dark court room in a spotlight staring up at a huge desk with a strict looking judge sitting there, seemed like a movie. I ignored his thoughts and quietly approached the back of the tents…we overheard a conversation through the tent. A man who sounded no more then twenty was talking to an older angry sounding man, The younger man mentioned to the older man that he believed the meteor seemed hollow to him and that it is producing a strange electronic signal that they have thus far been unable to explain, The older man barked back at the younger man saying that his research was over and the meteor was to be broke down and shipped to the nearest rock forge…he went on to speak of how the young man he was speaking to was never needed and was a waste of the peoples money…“it was just a normal meteor, and I’m not even an expert like you JACK”. The young man was clearly the one the news had reported about…he answered by saying “If this is a normal every day common meteor then I’m the damn tooth fairy, there has to be something different about it…who knows how many of these could be approaching earth! And if they are made up of a mineral unable to be detected by radar we could be in for one hell of a bad year” next thing I heard was the older man storming off mumbling and the young man sighing and then leaving the tent behind the general.  I decided to take a look in the young mans tent to see if I could find any kind of answer for “Jack” was likely not watching out after that conflict and the only thing I could read from him as he left were angry words directed towards the man he had just spoke with…apparently a general. At that time I heard a strange whispering voice…a woman’s, but from where? It sounded to me like she was calling for help. Regardless of my better judgment I found myself heading towards the direction of the voice which lead me right towards the meteor…and then it got blurry from there. I slightly heard Shiro scream “STOP” after a moment as a bullet quickly grazed my shoulder…I had wandered right out in front of the soldiers guarding the scene. It went black for a little while after that and as I came too I found myself handcuffed in a tent with two soldiers and a grey haired man sitting down in a chair behind a desk in front of me, I noticed Shiro being held at a bed by gunpoint I was quite shocked at first but then I remember what I had done…how could I be such a moron. The grey haired man stared at me a moment and then spoke. “Who are you and what the hell are you doing in this area?” he said…I merely sat there as I could see in his mind he was struggling with whether he should have me executed or not for trespassing on an official government scene and impeding an investigation. “I’m the general here and I asked you a question…now I don’t think you know what you have gotten yourself into here” I told him that if he was going to kill me he might as well do it. The man was thinking to himself how he was going to punish the soldiers at the blockade for a moment and then after my comment he snapped at me saying “YOU HAVE ILLEGALLY TRESPASSED ON A GOVERNMENT INVESTIGATION REGUARDLESS OF WARNINGS, YOU WILL ANSWER ME NOW!” Shiro jumped some at the man’s tone and the soldier watching him raised his weapon quickly, as if he thought Shiro was going to try and run. FINE, my name is Yamiko and yes I trespassed, but what gives you the right to shoot someone without warning!. “WITHOUT WARNING?” he said, “IT WAS POSTED RIGHT ON THE BARRIERS THAT UNAUTHORIZED PERSONEL WILL BE GIVEN ONE WARNING AND THEN SHOT!”, he punched the desk and then continued, “WE SAID HALT NOT ONCE BUT THREE TIMES AND YOU JUST KEPT HEADING TOWARD THE IMPACT”, at this point I was slightly confused…I had heard no warnings….I didn’t hear anything until Shiro screamed. That’s ridiculous I heard nothing!, The general stood up and spoke one last time before leaving the tent, “I will return In ONE HOUR exactly and then maybe you will have the brains enough to answer my questions accurately…WATCH THEM SOLDIERS”. I was taken over by Shiro and forced to the floor near him and the guards went to the entrance of the tent, confused I asked Shiro what happened. “You just zoned out on me…for a minute it looked like you were going to enter the tent we were hiding behind and then you just started walking toward the impact site like a zombie…I told you to stop like three times but you just kept going!” he said….I could see he was telling the truth and he was clearly angry with me from what I was hearing In his head, he continued telling me what happened. “Well after you got near the meteorite you touched it, and the thing just glowed where you touched it and then the guards
