Ezuko:Matriarch of Death 12...she told me to close my eyes and I managed to do as asked the sting from the alcohol was the next thing to greet me and I tried my hardest to move to push the cloth away I managed to do so which was a relief all in itself. I pushed Mrs. Karusawa and the professor away and forced myself to stand back up I stumbled to the nearest sink in the area and saw that all around my eyes and leading down my cheeks was blood whatever I saw it didnt want to be seen but for some reason even when I wasnt near the impact site I could still see what was happening at it before it was going to happen. I demanded that the professor take me to the general, he asked me what was going on and I could see in his head he wasnt planning to take me to the site this aggravated me but I decided it had to get to the general one way or another so I told him what I saw I could tell the very connection between the vision and my eyes frightened him. He told me to si
Ezuko:Matriarch of Death 11the council but we were to begin planning an attack immediately, he explained the situation to us. These beasts regardless of their inactive actions after the initial attack are a threat to the safety of Japan, I will not let us be known as the men who let the country down and I will not underestimate the threat that is before us today, for now I want Professor Carter, Professor Karusawa, Yamiko, and Shiro to try and learn what these things are a possible government experiment or a foreign military weapon? If we figure out what these things are maybe we can stop them, The rest of you will aid me in setting up a military defense grid with what little we have if anything DOES go wrong we will be ready best we can, we will not be the ones who let this country fall so if you arent with me you need to run away now!! it was a stirring speech for the men whose morale had fallen quite low after the first attack and every one of them answered with a
Ezuko:Matriarch of Death 10you will help us try and get control of this. I told him I wasnt sure how much I could help but I would offer whatever help I possibly could give, and then I told him that either way we need to get some help because right now we didnt stand a chance. As the general called a retreat and we fell back towards the barriers I could see that the city was once again on fire, and the screams of those who volunteered to stay behind to cover the retreat were haunting me, as expected quite the assembly of the locals were past the barrier along with at least three different news stations already that I could count, they likely arrived here soon after the equipment and tents were dropped off, much like vultures waiting for something to collapse. We watched from the distance as what remained of the camp went up in flame, however instead of the strange shadows continuing their rampage after the area was destroyed they just circled what was left of the meteor som
Ezuko:Matriarch of Death 9structure now, my guess is it was to prevent the spread of the sickness, and many more troops had arrived, all in hazmat suits, and even a few tanks. The soldiers I could read as they hurried past were all scared to death and wanted to be anywhere other then here, apparently the sickness was effecting the morale immensely, I couldnt blame them after seeing the others I got lucky just loosing my hair color and some energy. The new regulations seemed to be working fairly well .for a while then yet two more soldiers collapsed, I had a feeling the germ wasnt going to give up that easily, and it also let me know there was more to it then the air. They were taken to the newly assembled infirmary and once again signs of increased aging and fatigue were documented I was finally feeling a little more energized so hopefully the worse of it was over for me. Shiro updated me on the latest info once I was awake, The latest te
Ezuko:Matriarch of Death 8he said and he began to walk towards the door when he heard a commotion outside more of his men were wheeled in all showing the signs of the first few to be brought in. Finally the general decided to listen to what I think happened, I told him that I believe it was blood that awoke the meteorite he shook his head doubtfully and told me that If what I said was true, then he wanted proof that this meteor is the cause of any of this and not me I sighed and told him if that was what he wanted then so be it. I stumbled up off of my bed and the doctor rushed over to stop me, the general asked what the hell I thought I was doing, I told him I was getting his proof, I stumbled over and grabbed what was apparently a small surgical knife and headed for the exit, the doctor tried hard to stop me however I just ignored him and walked toward the meteor as the general and the professor followed me. I used the knife to cut my hand and after I bled a little I shook my hand t
Ezuko:Matriarch of Death 7spotted you they said to get down or they would shoot a few times and then one took a shot hitting your arm after you fell the glowing stopped...speaking of that are you okay? I replied that I was fine but something wasnt right, I didnt remember getting anywhere near the meteor to touch it, I just remember hearing that voice and going toward it but there was the moment in Shiros mind, it was clear he was not lying, the last thing he said to me was you really dont look too good you need a doctor I think. Shiro sighed and for a while after that it was just awkwardly quiet my parents were going to kill me is the only thing that came to my mind, and Im too young to go to prison was all that was in Shiros mind. Eventually a young American man came to the entrance and spoke to the soldiers at the entrance to our tent. I was sent by the general to try and learn anything else from the prisoners he told
Ezuko:Matriarch of Death 6kept quiet, he agreed and thanked me. The man then asked my name, which I told him my first name at least. Shiro and I wandered the ruins, however something bothered me. A part of me sensed their was more to this then a simple meteor and I could hear strange whispers from time to time, against my better judgment I decided to approach the tents set up around the meteor and find a safe path to get closer to the meteor, Shiro quickly asked what I was doing? He knew that if we were spotted past the tape we would likely be contained or shot and possibly court marshaled. I told him that he didnt have to come with me if he didnt want to but I was going to try and get closer. Shiro sighed and followed me anyway trusting I knew what I was doing but the truth is that I was as clueless as him and the fear in his mind was quite strange as he imagined being in the middle of a dark court room in a spotlight staring up at a huge desk with a strict looking judge sitting there, se
Ezuko:Matriarch of Death 5my readings of her AND reminded me once again why my ability was an annoying curse, I just prayed to god she didnt start imagining things she could do with him or my senses would be entirely thrown off. After what seemed like an eternity after that, I managed to reach the top of the building with little hassle and now was when I doubted myself. The buildings were close to one another so the gang took turns jumping from the one building to the next close or not I didnt want to die trying to put my mind to ease hell I at least could accept dying if I learned the truth and put my mind to ease but dying beforehand seemed fruitless. After some hesitation the girl jumped to the next building she imagined she was a ninja to get up the courage to do that .I never really had that good of an imagination so I had to see the cold hard fact I waited behind a heating unit and listened to the gangs whispers the leader told them that they would head down to th
Ezuko:Matriarch of Death 4tell it was a gang for one of the men wore the same symbol that was tagged on the walls of the alley on his jacket this was just my luck. It appeared I was not spotted as I heard the group talk amongst themselves. There were five in total that made up the gang but I wasnt stupid enough to think that isnt enough to worry about, gangs were known to be severely territorial in the city and they cause many troubles for the locals around this city. Anything from robbery to rape to gang wars was part of everyday life for this area and that was cause enough to worry. One of the men was short and stubby and apparently enjoyed his cuisine, he had greasy hair and well built arms so likely he was the brainless muscle in the group. The second member was a girl who had to be no more then 18 wearing ripped up black jeans and a lace like black top she had blue colored hair and her earrings likely outnumbered the amount of common sense she had if she was hanging with this group.
